Zagorka “ZAGA” Arsenijevic, age 57, of Valparaiso, passed away with her beloved family by her side on Sunday, April 9, 2023. Zagorka was born in Susek, Serbia (former Yugoslavia) on May 24, 1965 to parents Vojislav and Tatijana Velimirovic. She lived in Jagodina, Serbia until she came to the United States in December of 1998 and settled with her family in Valparaiso, Indiana. In Yugoslavia she was a well known fashion designer and manager of 2 companies, one being The Resava Company. Upon arriving to the United States, Zaga started her own reupholstery, drape and seamstress business in Valparaiso. She always found a balance between her family and her career. Her family always came first to her as her number one priority. She found a love from working from home with her family. She was the owner and operator of AZAGA Design.

Zagorka passed her legacy of spending time with her family and the love of her family down to both her son and daughter. Her heart practiced the example of a saint, without ever denying a request from anyone who was in need of help. She always gave help selflessly. She was a very good friend to all. The strength of her faith was a lifelong gift she gave toher children also. She passed her love of God to her children as well. She was very active in contributing her time and efforts to many Orthodox Monasteries and Churches spanning from Chicago, IL to South Bend, IN. She was a close and dear friend to the sisters at the Serbian Orthodox Monastery of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God in Rolling Prarie, IN. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents Vojislav and Tatijana Velimirovic; and her sister Milena Sovljakov.

Zaga is survived by her beloved husband Rade Arsenijevic; loving children Petar (Spasunka) Arsenijevic and Marina (Josh) Goldstine; one adored granddaughter Anastasia Goldstine; many other kumovi, family members and friends both here and in Serbia. Vecnaja Pamjat.

Orthodox Prayer Services were held on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 , V. Rev Aleksandar Novakovic officiated. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery, Valparaiso, IN. For further information please call Mileva or David at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel, 219-736-5840.
