Wesley Howard

November 2, 1963 – May 25, 2025

Wesley Howard passed away on May 25, 2025, at the age of 61. He was born and raised in Griffith, Indiana, and spent the last 15 years of his life in Gary, Indiana.

He was the proud father of Alarik Howard and Nicolas Howard, who were the center of his world and his greatest accomplishment. His love for his sons ran deep, and he made sure they knew it every step of the way. Wesley was also a father figure to his nephew, Paul White, whom he loved like his own.

Wesley was a tough, no-nonsense man with a sharp tongue and a loyal heart. He told it like it was, didn’t put up with much, and had no problem being the asshole in the room if it meant standing his ground. He lived life on his own terms, and while he may not have followed the traditional path, he cared deeply about those closest to him and never failed to show it in his own way.

He is survived by many loved family members and friends, too numerous to name—but each of them held a place in his heart, whether he admitted it or not.

A potluck-style memorial will be held to celebrate his life with services being held on Friday, June 13, 2025, at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel, 370 North County Line Road, Hobart, IN 46342, with visitation from 4 to 6:30 PM and a memorial service at 6:30 PM. In keeping with Wesley’s wishes and spirit, please do not send flowers. Donations can be made instead to his family or to Riley Children’s Hospital.

He leaves behind a legacy of grit, love, and stories that will live on—loudly and without apology.
