Veronica Mejia Martinez, 31, of Gary, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on February 1, 2025. She was born in Gary to Nancy Mejia and George Martinez, into a large and loving family. She was known to have a quick, witty, and sarcastic sense of humor. She had a passion for make-up and enjoyed getting herself made up whether she had somewhere to go or not. She absolutely loved music and had a playlist to accompany every aspect of her life.

She was loved and will be missed by too many to count but above all is her cherished daughter, Monica, who will treasure her mother’s memory dearly. Also surviving are her mother, Nancy; siblings: Jose, Alejandro, Christina, Ermalinda, Venessa, and Maricella; and a host of dear extended family and friends.
She joins in blessed eternity her beloved father, George Martinez.

Visitation will be Friday, February 21, 2024, from 10:00 until time of service at 1:00 PM at Rendina Funeral Home (5100 Cleveland Street, Gary). Burial to follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery. For information, call 219-980-1141.
