Theresa “Terri” Zaczkiewicz (nee Linville) of Hobart, IN, age 76, was welcomed into the loving arms of her precious Jesus on October 14, 2024 after a hard fought battle with cancer. In her final days, she had many visitors at the VNA Hospice Center sharing sweet memories. Terri grew up in Hammond, Indiana and attended Gavit High School and later graduated from Milford High School in Milford, IL where she received their 1966 Betty Crocker Homemaker of Tomorrow award. She accepted Jesus as her Savior in her early teen years under the ministry of First Baptist Church in Hammond, IN. Terri continued to be devoted to Him for the rest of her days and spent countless hours in devotion, prayer, Bible study, and sharing His good news with others. Over her life, Terri found her love for and excelled in cooking, baking, sewing, cross-stitching, and quilting. She was an avid reader and could often be found at the local public library. She also dabbled in poetry writing. Terri was a substitute teacher for many years in the Hobart and Lake Station schools. The kids lovingly called her Mrs. Z. After retirement, she found her passion for the sanctity of human life and was an active part of Respect Life and Right to Life of Northwest Indiana. She was always moving and on the go. Terri could be found at any number of community events, meetings, and dinners in the Lake and Porter county area. She attended many churches in the Northwest Indiana area including Lowell Baptist, Living Stones, Liberty Bible, and Hobart Assembly. She found energy by being around people. Terri impacted so many in her time here on this earth. She will be deeply missed by all of the lives she touched in some way. Terri is survived by her four children, Tim (Sanruthai) Thorley of Anthem, AZ, Todd Thorley of Franklin, TN, Tammy (Paul) Vogel of Valparaiso, IN, Trulie (Tom) Campbell of West Lafayette, IN, 9 grandchildren, Hunter, Ava, Ian, and Quinn Vogel, Jacob Thorley, Samuel, Oscar, and Peter Campbell, and Eleanor Thorley.She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Josephine (Kulczyk) Linville, sister, Betty Jo (Linville) Elwell, brother, John Linville, infant son, Daniel Thomas Thorley, and niece, Laurie (Elwell) McCoy. Friends may visit with her family on Monday, October 21st from 9AM-12PM at 370 N County Line Road, Hobart, IN. Funeral Service at 12PM. Interment at Calumet Park Cemetery.
