Steve A. Blanton of Valparaiso, IN, died peacefully on May 11, 2025. at the age of 69.

He is survived by three sons. Steve Jr (Christi) of Lehigh Acres, FL. Paul (Kristine) of Valparaiso, and Nick (Jessica) of Valparaiso. Steve also had many grand children, nieces, nephews, and brothers that loved him dearly. He is proceeded in death by his wife, Lucinda (March 2020) and son, Brian (June 2024)

Steve was born on July 10, 1955 and was a lifelong area resident. He graduated from Lew Wallace High School in 1973. Steve was an electrician by trade and spent 25 years repairing trains for CTA.

He loved music, playing bass guitar in various bands for most of his life. Steve was also an avid boater and loved spending time on the lake with his family.

Services will be held at Calumet Park Funeral Home. 370 N County Line Road, Hobart IN on Sunday May 25th from 2 pm -6pm. Memorial  service will be at 5pm.
