Stephen Mathew Hronec, age 80, passed away October 10, 2023. He was born September 20, 1943 in Gary, Indiana and was a long-time resident of South Lyon, Michigan. He is survived by his beloved children: Paul (Jacquelyn) Hronec, Lisa Blair and Suzanne (Jim) Liker; his grandchildren: Erin, Jessica, Brianna and Jordan; his great-grandchildren: Hunter, Linken, Brody and Kennedi. He is also survived by his sister Sr. Maria Theresa. He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Anna Hronec, his wife Sally Hronec; his sister Helen Sethuramen; and his son-in-law, Eric Blair.

Visitation will be, Tuesday, October 17 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM with Rosary at 7:00 PM at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel 7535 W Taft Street, Merrillville. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 19 at 10:00 AM at Holy Martyrs Catholic Church, 801 W 73rd Avenue, Merrillville. He will be laid to rest in Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville.
