Spero Stamos passed away on December 5th, 2023, preceded in death by his wife Evangeline.
He is survived by his son Harry Stamos (Kathryn Flaris), late daughter Diane Stamos-Logan, son-in-law Anthony Logan, grandchildren Amanda Stamos, Alexandra Marich (Logan)(Dylan Marich), Nicholas Logan, great grandchild Declan Marich, Sisters Priscilla Vlahos and Dena Coulis as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Spero who was also fondly called Speed, loved his family immensely and always made sure they were taken care of. An avid gardener, Spero always had a cornucopia of fresh vegetables in his house that he would graciously send home with anyone who came over. Spero was also a successful businessman with Flowers by Stamos being his most proud and remembered business endeavor. He was also in partnership of Butch Huntley’s and McTaverns, 2 widely known establishments in northwest Indiana. Last but most certainly not least, Spero was a WWII veteran serving in the Air Force where he fought courageously to protect our country and for that we thank him for his service.
Services will be held at STS Constantine and Helen Orthodox Church at 10:00am on Wednesday December 13th with direct burial to follow at Calumet Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family are appreciated. Thank you in advance to all those who attend and who are with us in spirit.
