With profound love and sorrow, we announce the passing of our precious son Roman , who was born on June 21st and peacefully passed away on July 9th at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn Ill . Though he was with us for only a short time, Roman filled our hearts with immeasurable love, hope, and joy, and has changed countless lives. Every moment we shared with him will be treasured forever, and his memory will remain in our hearts always.

Roman is lovingly survived by his parents, Leticia and Ryan; big brothers, Benjamin and Robert; maternal grandparents, Veronica & Carlos Jimenez; paternal grandparents, Ann and Israel (Izzy) Soto; maternal great grandmother, Rita Rodriguez; paternal great grandmother, Margaret O’Keefe; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family who will always love him deeply.

He has joined his sister, Elena, as well as his maternal great grandfather, Robert “Bob” Rodriguez; and paternal great grandfather, Robert “Bob” O’Keefe, to rest in Heaven.

Family and friends are invited to join us in honoring our precious little one. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026 from 11:00 AM until the time of funeral service at 1:00 PM to celebrate Roman ’s extraordinary life at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel (7535 Taft Street, Merrillville, Indiana 46410). Burial to follow at Calumet Park Cemetery.

Although our time together was far too brief, Roman will forever be loved, forever missed, and forever remembered. Our little angel now rests peacefully in God’s loving arms.
