Robert “Bob” Clayton Kaluf, 65, of Merrillville, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Lincolnshire Health Care Center. He was born on August 25, 1960, to Edward and Monika (Makosch) Kaluf, who both survive.
In addition to his parents, Bob is survived by his siblings, Brian (Dana) Kaluf, Debbie Kaluf, and Rhonda (Jerry) Lanfear; numerous nieces and nephews; and many loving friends.
Bob most recently worked as a crane operator for Naylor Pipe Co. for over 15 years. He was also a proud volunteer firefighter for Independence Hill for over 15 years.
Bob’s greatest passion in life was music and drumming, playing in several bands and enjoying his rock-and-roll classics throughout his life. He also enjoyed watching his beloved Chicago Bears play, going out to golf, and fishing with his family in Ludington, MI.
Bob will best be remembered as a very social man who was notably a good, generous son, brother, uncle, and friend. He, along with all the love and joy he shared, will be dearly missed by those whose hearts he touched throughout his life.
In accordance with the family’s wishes, cremation has been chosen. Services for Bob will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel, 7535 Taft Street, Merrillville, IN 46410, with visitation from 4 PM to 7 PM and a service to immediately follow at 7 PM.
