Patsy Martin passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 in Portage, Indiana surrounded by her loving family.
Patsy is survived by her daughter: Julie Cher (Phil), grandchildren: Christopher Bieker, Kristen Tobicoe (Ryan), Taylor Sullins, Cole Sullins, and great grandson Landon Tobicoe. She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond Martin and daughter Linda Bieker.
Patsy was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 7th, 1936 to Joseph and Frances Miller. She was a loving sister to Rich, Harry, Joe, and Alice. She was happily married for 41 years to the love of her life Raymond Martin, whom she married on March 4, 1961. She was a graduate from St. Peter and Paul High School. She worked at Illinois Bell as a secretary and retired from the Elks Club.
She was a long time resident of Hobart, Indiana where she has lived for the last 38 years.
In her earlier years she bowled on a league, loved to play bunco, bingo, and had the gift of being able to crochet.  She later became a member of the Red Hat Ladies Social Club.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, had a love for animals, and enjoyed playing cards. In her spare time she loved to watch tennis,  game shows, do crossword puzzles, color, and paint her nails.  She was a devoted wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all.
A memorial visitation will be held on February 9, 2026 at 9:30 AM, followed by a funeral mass at 10:00AM. All services will be held at Our Lady Queen of Martyr’s Catholic Church, 8303 Taft Street, Merrillville, IN 46410. Interment will be held at Calumet Park Cemetery.
