It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Barker, born on February 27th, 1936, to Arthur and Anita Neis of Gary, Indiana. She graduated from Bishop Noll in 1954 and went on to marry Arthur E. Barker on October 28th, 1955, in Gary. Together, they were the proud owners of Barker & Calumet Bus Service, among many other successful endeavors.

 Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Arthur E. Barker, her parents Arthur and Anita Neis, her daughter Diane Sinks, her son-in-law Deno Ramirez & her brother Leo Neis.

 She is survived by brother John Neis of Valpo, her devoted son, John (Michelle) Barker of Gary & her loving daughter, Janet Ramirez of Florida. Additionally, she leaves behind several grandchildren & great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews who will cherish her memory forever.

 Patricia will be remembered for her beautiful, cheery smile, the warmth & kindness she showed others & unwavering love & dedication for her family & her faith. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A visitation for Patricia will be held on Friday March 8, 2024 from 5-8pm at Rendina Funeral Home, 5100 Cleveland St. Gary, IN 46408. Funeral services will be held Saturday March 9, 2024 at 11:30am at St. Stephen the Martyr Parish in Merrillville. Burial services will immediately follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
