Patricia A. Koepke, 77, of Lowell, Indiana passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024.

Patricia was known for caring for her family, but she was also strong-willed and always willing to help others if they were in need. She loved nature and taking walks. She actively participated in community events,  and was passionate about life and politics. Patricia was so much fun to be around, she was always smiling and always celebrating her grandchildren.

Patricia was preceded in death by her father, Nick Marich; her mother, Josephine Marich; brothers: David Marich, and Mike Marich; and sister, Darlene Rice.

Patricia is survived by her dear husband, James H. Koepke; loving her son, James M. (Kristy) Koepke; beloved daughters Dora J. (John) Babiak; Lora R. (Duane) McCain; her six  treasured grandchildren; Ariel, Trenton, Brody, Kalie, Brianna and Owen; many extended family and friends; and, let’s not forget her African Grey parrot “Homer”.

Chapel service will be Friday, January 19, 2024, at 11:30 am with Visitation from 10:00 am until the time of service at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel (7535 Taft Street, Merrillville, Indiana 46410).  V. Rev. Marko Matic officiating. Interment to follow at Calumet Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Association would be greatly appreciated.
