In Loving Memory of Nicholas D. Anderson
January 20, 1983 – September 28, 2026
Nicholas D. Anderson, affectionately known as Nick or Cook, was born on January 20, 1983, in Gary, Indiana. He attended Gary Public Schools and was the youngest of five children. Nicholas passed away in Phoenix, Arizona, at the age of 43.
Nick was fun-loving, determined, resourceful, and generous, with a special gift for making people laugh while knowing when to be serious. He loved wholeheartedly and was always willing to show up for the people he cared about. He enjoyed working out, spending time with family and friends, and being in the studio.
One of the greatest joys of Nicholas’s life was being a father to his beloved daughter, Nickiya. They shared a special and loving bond, and she held a special place in his heart. The love they shared will forever be a part of his legacy and the memories she carries of her father.
As the youngest of five siblings, Nick will also be remembered as a little brother whose personality, laughter, and presence left lasting memories with his family. Although life took them in different directions, the bond of family and the memories they shared will always remain.
Nicholas leaves to cherish his memory his beloved mother, Martha A. Anderson; his father, John Beck; his wife, Vaneshea Anderson; his daughter, Nickiya Anderson; his stepson, Jeremiah;, his siblings, Nakia (Crystal) Hutch, Jameka Turner, Eric (LaTonya) Hutch, Jermaine Beck, Jerald Beck and John Beck; his special cousins,Jonathan Mims, Alan Hughes; his special friend, Adiara Biget; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
Nick’s laughter, loyalty, determination, and love will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. Though his time with us was far too short, the memories he created and the love he shared will never be forgotten.
Forever loved. Forever remembered.
