Nedeljko Neil Maksimovich, age 70, of Crown Point, Indiana passed away peacefully on August 8, 2023 with his family by his side. Neil was born in Chicago, Il together with his twin brother John on February 27, 1953, to parents Mladen and Desanka (Daisy) Maksimovich. Neil was a lifelong member of St Elijah Serbian Orthodox Cathedral and attended Liturgical Services regularly.

Neil earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology from Indiana University Northwest.

Neil is preceded in death by his parents Mladen and Daisy.

He is survived by his beloved brothers John (Becki) Maksimovich; David (Dawn) Maksimovich; loving nephews and nieces; Mike, Alex, Adam (Maja), Stephen, Brandon, Robert, Ana, Josephine and many dear cousins and Kumovi.

Neil will be fondly remembered and greatly missed. May his Memory be Eternal.

Funeral Services will be held, Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 10am at St Elijah Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, 8700 Taft St., Merrillville, IN with a Visitation starting at 9am. V. Rev Aleksandar Novakovic officiating. Interment St Sava Serbian Orthodox Cemetery, 32377 IL-21 (Milwaukee Ave), Libertyville, Illinois.
