Moses Otero, 34, currently from Pittsburgh, PA and formerly of Gary, IN
passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on April 1, 2023. He was born on
April 22, 1988, to his loving mother Martha Otero. Moses was a caring and
loving person full of joy! He was a graduate of Lew Wallace High School.
Moses made strides in the health care field. He started his work as a
clinical nursing assistant and progressed to a management position held
until his sudden death. He was a beloved son, husband, father, brother,
grandson, uncle and just a great friend to many. His personality could
light up any room and he was always the life of the party. He was very
giving and would easily offer the shirt off of his back if need be. He never
met a stranger. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He
loved his job and the residents that he had an opportunity to care for.
He will be sorely missed by his mom Martha Otero, his loving wife Kailyn;
three children Tre’von, Taedyn, and Aidalyn; grandmother Aida Otero;
grandfather, Francisco Otero Sr; father, Edgar Downs; sisters Clarita
(Derrick) Mabon and Monataya Yancey; brothers Matthew Irrizary,
Francisco Avila, Bruno Avila, Evign (Jenny) Kile and Eyan Kile; mother-in-
law Laurean Kile. He is also survived by his uncles, Eric Otero and
Francisco Otero Jr.; aunts, Sonia Avila, Lolita Otero and Carmen Perez;
best friends Albert Manning, Milton Darkried, and many nieces, nephews,
cousins and friends who loved him.
