Monika Todora (nee Karna) Nadolski, age 73 passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 2, 2023. Monika was born on May 29, 1950. Monika with her sisters Anka and Angelika immigrated to the United States from Altenau, West Germany on December 18, 1958 with their beloved mother Erika to join their father. Monika attended school for 2 years in Germany and continued her education in the United States graduating from Lew Wallace High School in 1969. Monika worked at the C.N.A. Insurance company for many years and retired at an early age. She met and married John Nadolski and become a mother to Paul (her only child), who was her world. Monika loved becoming a grandmother, her grandchildren were the center of her life. To know Monika is to know that she had a heart of gold and was very giving not only to her family but to those around her. She loved her all of her friends and kept in contact with many on social media platforms such as Facebook.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Nadolski; her parents Ilija & Erika (nee Bruns) Karna.
Monika is survived by her loving son  Paul Nadolski (Stephanie); 2 cherished grandsons, Adrian Nadolski and Colton Nadolski;  Sisters Anka Karna, Angelika (Ray) Clark; Niece Kristine (Matt) Swavey, Nephew Jonathan Clark; 2 Great Nephews Adlar and Odis Swavey; brother-in-law Joseph (Sue) Nadolski and several special Kumovi; also many cousins in Germany.
Funeral Service for Monika will be held Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 10am at St Elijah Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, 8701 Taft Street, Merrillville, IN with V. Rev Aleksandar Novakovic officiating. Visitation will be held one hour (9am) prior to the funeral service. Interment Calumet Park Cemetery. Memory Eternal. We are sad to hear about the passing of such a sweet Kumova, who shared her love and compassion for many.🩷
I’m sure she was met with open arms in heaven by her parents who loved her first.😁🩷 Paul a mother loves to eternity and beyond. 🙏🤗
