Molly Jane Blaine (nee Barnes) -age 93–passed away peacefully, on April 21, 2024 surrounded by her family.  She was born in 1931 in Nortonville, Kentucky.  She married a handsome soldier in 1947 and relocated to Northwest Indiana, where she settled and made it her forever home.

Although Molly never had any children of her own, she was a second mother, aunt and great aunt to 13 girls—3 generations. Molly was an avid lifelong reader and a talented quilt maker. Her quilts are a legacy that will live on through many generations of our family to come.

Molly is survived by her sister Myrtle (Cookie) Cook—Two nieces: Janice (Chris) Thornberry and Tammy (Manuel) Guerrero.  Six great nieces –Jodi Fulton (Billy Buvala); Andrea Bruno (Matt Vermillion); Erica (Ryan) Raisor; Mandy (Bryan) Mathis; Samantha Guerrero and Emily (Michael) Waldkoetter.

Five great-great nieces: Mollie Fulton (Shawn Sawver); Hannah Mathis; Harper Mathis; Ruby Vermilion and Juniper Vermillion.

Molly also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who loved her.

Molly was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, James Preston Blaine (Uncle Pret). Her parents, Arthur and Myrtle Barnes–five brothers and two sisters.

Her family appreciates all the prayers, good wishes, visits, calls, texts and cards from those of you who had the pleasure of knowing Aunt Molly.
