Metodija N. Georgiefski, age 78 of Merrillville, passed away October 20, 2025. Metodija was a life long member of S.S. Peter and Paul Macedonian Orthodox Cathedral. He was also a retired employee of Inland Steel Company with over 37 years of dedicated service.

He is preceded in death by his dear daughter Dragica Georgiefski, his parents Nikola and Marija Georgiefski and his siblings.

Metodija is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years Milica “Millie” Gerogiefski (nee Petrovic); two loving sons Kosta (Lisa) and Nickola (Denise) Georgiefski; grandchildren Courtney, Matthew, Tyler, Kalee, and Alyssa Georgiefski, and Samantha and Michael Mahone; and 10 great grandchildren, also many other relatives and Kumovi.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at S.S. Peter and Paul Macedonian Orthodox Cathedral, 9660 Broadway starting at 9am. At 10 am the funeral service will begin with Father Aleksandar Mitrov and Father Georgij Gligorov officiating. Interment Calumet Park Cemetery.
