Margarita “Margaret” Vondorkovich (nee Borrego), age 77, of Valparaiso, IN, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023 peacefully surrounded by family. Margaret is survived by her father Manuel (Emalina) Gallegos; children Charles (Tori) Peters of Tulsa, OK and Catherine Dowdy (Kevin Trent) of North Judson; grandchildren: Heather (Hector) Lozano, Holly Vicari (Blake England), Wyatt Peters, Adam (Alexis) Dowdy, Lauren (Joe) Lyman, Mary-Cate Dowdy (Hayden McDougal), and Ethan Dowdy (Mackenzie Tenzera); 5 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Steven Gallegos and Rick (Ula) Gallegos; and 3 sisters: Anita (David) Sterns, Rachel Bridges, and Lisa Gallegos. She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather,Juanita and Frank Sanusky.

Margaret was a devout Christian and relied strongly on her faith. She retired from Inland Steel as a purchasing clerk. Margaret enjoyed cooking and caring for her family and dear friends.
