Mae Plesac, 90, of Portage, passed away on February 7, 2024. She was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Tony Plesac; her parents, Paul and Mae Chirco; sister, Zula Starr; and great granddaughter, Dana Hilborne.
She is survived by her three children: Linda Plesac, Mark Plesac, and Sandy (Tim) Pellettiere; four grandchildren: Jason (Kim) Wells, Nick Hilborne, Anthony Pellettiere, and Haley (Raul) Del Valle; great grandchildren, Mia Wells and Timmy Pellettiere; brother, Tom Chirco and sister-in-law, Marge Chirco; and many nieces, nephews, and friends, including good friend, Marie Flores.
Mae was born in Gary, IN, and attended Lew Wallace High School. Her favorite place to be was in the kitchen. She was excellent at cooking and baking – especially those Italian cookies we all loved. She also enjoyed watching tennis and old westerns. Mae was greatly loved and will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
