Linda (Hermelinda) Griffin of St John, IN., passed away on May 7, 2024, with family at her side.
Linda was born May 30, 1950, in Gary, IN., the second of six children of loving parents Jesus and Maria Juarez. Linda graduated in 1968 from Horace Mann High School and then started an illustrious 32 year career working at AT&T where she worked her way up from a Service Representative to becoming a Central Office Technician.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Patrick Henry Griffin. Her siblings Ruben (Jamie) Juarez, and Jim (April) Juarez. Her children Michael (Jaime) Guerra, Delores (Joseph) Conley, Gayle Guerra (Charles), Nicole Griffin, and PJ Griffin. Grandchildren Meghan (David) Anleitner, Austin (Leah) Guerra, Jessica Guerra, Lucas Guerra, Caitlyn Guerra, Scott Conley, Aaron Conley, Robin Conley, Myles Roberts, Elliana Roberts, Alexia Roberts, Sofia Roberts. Great grandchildren Beaux Guerra and Levi Guerra. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her father and mother Jesus and Maria Juarez, son John (Staci) Guerra, sister Maria (David) Kubacki, and brothers Jesse and Gabriel (Tammy) Juarez.
Linda was passionately involved with all her children’s and grandchildren’s interests. Traveling the country to attend various sporting events, dancing competitions, plays, auditions, and even becoming a coach for their various teams. Linda looked to always be engaged and never sat on the sidelines in her children and grandchildren’s lives.
She always went above and beyond to craft enduring memories with those she loved. Whether whisking the family away to places like Ziggees, Jacks Warehouse, and Chuck E. Cheese, or immersing them in the vibrant atmosphere of festivals and Renaissance Fairs, she ensured every moment was filled with excitement and wonder. From Oscar parties to cozy sleepovers and lively board game sessions, Linda understood the profound significance of shared family experiences, ensuring they would be cherished for a lifetime.
Her children and grandchildren were her world, and she spared no effort in nurturing their dreams and offering unwavering support.
Linda was the type of person who had a no quit attitude and passed that along to her children and grandchildren. Teaching them how to never give up and if you fail, pick yourself back up and keep fighting until you’ve reached your goal.
Linda lived her life by seeing the silver lining in every situation. When the odds are stacked against you, you can always turn those odds into your favor and use that to overcome any obstacles that seemed too large to overcome.
Her love and dedication will forever be cherished by her family, who are grateful for the countless memories she created, life values she instilled, and the boundless love she shared.

Linda was such a beautiful person and a great mom. Delores is my best friend and I remember Linda fondly when we were teens. May her family find peace and comfort in their memories of her.
Just learned you passed. Heartbreaking. A beautiful cousin. I have nothing but fond memories of the entire Juarez family. They kept us laughing with their great sense of humor. Never a dull moment with them. Hate we lost touch. You lived a full life. God bless you and your family. Archangel Michael, find my cousins and carry them into Gods kingdom.
