Valerie, you have my sincere condolences. My heart goes out to you and your family, and to all Jose’s friends. Jose was such a kind person, and a fine man. I remember the first time we met; I wanted to ask him for his blessing to marry his sister. I was a little nervous but I shook his hand and I told him that I loved Connie and I wanted her for my wife. He knew I was asking him because her father had passed. He looked honored and humbly said, “I guess you know what you are doing.” We immediately burst into laughter. Then he gave us his blessing. I will never forget Jose. He was a quiet spoken man who I have the greatest respect for. I’m so proud to call him my brother. I only wish we’d had more time. I know in my heart that he has spoken to God and has been reunited with his parents and sisters. I will miss him and can’t wait to see him again in the everlasting hereafter. I love you my brother. God Bless you Jose!

My beloved brother. When our dad passed I still felt his presence in you. I feel like I lost my father all over again. You have been such a strong influence in my life. I am so lucky to have you as a big brother. I love you. May you rest in peace.
