Jose (Joey) L. Morales Jr. died unexpectedly March 15, 2023 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin while visiting his son, Dreacy Armstrong. He was born April 24, 1972 in Gary Indiana, the son of Jose L. Morales Sr. and Ana L. Morales.
Jose was a free spirit with a fearless soul who didn’t let anything get in the way of his dreams. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. More than anything he loved his family and would do anything for them. He would give his last dollar to anyone who needed it. He was both funny and courageous. There was never a dull moment when you were around Jose.

Morales; sisters: Letisha (Matthew) Thompson, and Lucy (Morales) Woods; son, Dreacy Armstrong; daughter, Marisa Gentry; nephews: Willie and Nathan Woods; nieces: Allysa and Lauren Thompson; and loved by aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
His beautiful life will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 22, 2022, 10:00 a.m. at RENDINA FUNERAL HOME (5100 Cleveland St., Gary, IN), Ministers Orlando and Madeline Deleon officiating. Fond memories from Bailey Middle School and Lew Wallace High School
My thoughts and prayers are with the Morales family. I had the pleasure of spending time with your family through Miriam and Mac. There was ALWAYS laughter, food and love
My greatest memory of Joey was driving with him, Mac and Almeda through Gary with the windows down and Joey and Mac screaming out the windows “WE JUST WON THE POWERBALL”. They were beeping the horn and yelling out. Folks were beeping back and cheering us on all along Broadway.
That’s sums up his spirit. He lived everyday with joy like he just won the powerball.
