In Loving Memory of Jonce Ristovski

October 12, 1936 – May 22, 2023

Jonce Ristovski, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, left this world on May 22, 2023, at the age of 86. He was born on October 12, 1936, in the picturesque town of Ljubojno, Macedonia, to his parents, Metodia and Ristosija.

In 1971, Jonce made the decision to emigrate to the United States, seeking new opportunities and a better life for his family. A skilled carpenter and cabinet maker, he tirelessly worked with his hands, leaving a lasting mark on the homes and businesses he helped construct.

Jonce was a devoted family man who cherished his role as a father and a grandfather. He was a loving and supportive husband to his late wife, Milica, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories.

As a father, Jonce was a source of guidance, strength, and unconditional love. His son, Mendo, held a special place in his heart. Jonce found joy in watching his family grow, and he warmly welcomed his daughter-in-law, Rose, into the family. His greatest joy came from being a grandfather to his beloved grandchildren, Amanda and Alex. He relished every moment spent with them, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and love.

Beyond his devotion to family, Jonce found solace and contentment in his garden. Tending to his plants and nurturing his peppers & tomatoes brought him immense joy. His green thumb and the beauty he cultivated were a testament to his gentle spirit and nurturing nature.

Jonce Ristovski will be remembered for his kind heart, strong work ethic, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy will live on through the memories he created and the love he bestowed upon all those fortunate enough to know him.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at S.S. Peter & Paul Macedonian Orthodox Cathedral, 9660 Broadway, Crown Point IN, at 11am. Funeral Services will begin at 12pm noon with Rev Aleksandar Mitrov officiating. Interment Calumet Park Cemetery.
