John Dunda, age 87, peacefully passed away on May 23, 2024.

John is survived by his sisters, Elizabeth (late Nick) Babich of Valparaiso, IN and Mary (Rich) Osika of Colorado Springs, CO; son, Shawn Reed of Portage, IN; grandson, Kevin Reed of Michigan City, IN; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Margaret Dunda.

John was born in Konus, Czechoslovakia.  He moved to the United States in 1948.  After graduating high school, John enlisted and proudly served in the United States Marine Force.

Friends may visit family on Thursday, May 30, 2024 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Rendina Funeral Home, 5100 Cleveland Street, Gary, IN.  Funeral Service directly at Rendina Funeral Home at 1PM with Rev. Michal Bucko officiating.    Interment to follow at Calumet Park Cemetery.
