Jessabelle Animos (Cantano) Brown aka Chasity was born on April 1, 1964 in Olongapo City, Philippeans. She was the daughter of Isaias Cantano Sr, and Flocerfina Animos Cantano. She was 1 of 14 siblings, Rosario Cantano, Annabelle Juntura, Santiago Cantano, Myrna Borillo, Josefreda Arabe, Wilfredo Cantano, FeMarie Cuevas, Maribel DeGuia, Myrisol Mojica, Zaida Parris, and proceeded in death by her two brothers Jesus Cantano, Isaias Cantano Jr. She was a loving wife of Theodore Joseph Brown III, for many wonderful years. She was a loving mother of Kea Shamika C.Dela Cruz, Benjamin D. Dela Cruz Jr, Monifa Cantano, Vince Devon Johnson, Theodore Joseph Brown IV, Aisha Lynn Brown, Carissa Eleanor Brown. Adored Memaw (Grandmother) of Shajie Yzavelle C. Dela Cruz, Xhanika Bednice C. Dela Cruz, Zoe Ameenah Rose C. Dela Cruz, Devin Raymond Johnson, Devon Darnell Johnson, Hazel Grace Lynn Brown, & Joy Anita Brown.

She received an Associates degree in the Philippines and came to the United States to help support her family, and paved the way for many others to do the same. She worked proudly for Dakkota Integrated Systems for 8 years, Ford motor plant assembly for 6 years, but her passion was serving others and she was able to do so at House of Kobe for over 30 years. If you ever found yourself at the House of Kobe in Schererville, she was sure to welcome you with her beautiful smile and treated you like you were a guest in her own home.

Chasity will forever be loved and remembered as a beautiful, confident, outgoing, loving, wife, mother, and Memaw (Grandmother), aunt and friend. Her smile and laughter filled a room and was contagious. And she dazzled a room with all her stylish clothing. There would never be a moment that would be lost because she was always taking photos of her family and friends. Chasity has a beautiful heart that radiates to her beautiful face.Indeed a beautiful person inside and out. Her love for her family is her utmost priority. A back bone that anyone could rely on, a true friend and companion that every one will miss but it will forever remain in our thoughts how she touched our lives the way she knew best. Her favorite thing to do was laugh and be with family. Her generosity never went unnoticed and she always made sure everyone who came into her home was always fed and had enough food to take home. To know Chasity was to love her. She treated you as her own & made sure you came first. She would give you the shirt off of her back, the shoe from her foot. Anything you needed, she was right there willing to give and expecting nothing in return. Chasity’s legacy’s will always live on within her friends and family forever.

Services will be held on December 9th at Calvary Tabernacle Church of Griffith Indiana at 10am until 11:30am promptly followed by burial at Calumet Park Cemetery Inc.

Gigi as we call her since we were young was a neighbor, classmate and friend to me. Growing up with her til we separated when she went to US has always been a fond memories. Never i saw her in bad mood or got angry, she was always smiling and laughing inspite of hardships during that time. Whenever we were at school, or just simply sitting there at our homestreet during the days , she was our clown making sure we always have fun things to do and talk about….i was able to reunite with her after more than 2 decades in our high school reunion just last december, she never aged and she never changed, still the Gigi i used to know, always smiling, laughing and thoughful. I was so heartbroken when i heard of her getting sick, the more i was so heartbroken knowing that she passed…i will never forget her smiling face and forever i will cherish our fun memories together…i felt comforted knowing that she is now with our Heavenly Father, free of pain. Til we meet again sister…love you forever 🤍
