Janet L Britton
Janet Britton, age 79, peacefully passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023. Janet is survived by her loving husband of 58 years Donald J Britton; daughter, Donelle Extin, son, David Britton; grandchildren, Samantha Britton, Brady and Kylie Extin; siblings, Nancy (Tom) Ciesla, Dolores (Mike) Ilko and Guy (Judy)Toczek special friend Kim Kostro; numerous nieces, nephews and friends who will dearly miss her. Preceded in death by son Donald A. Britton and daughter Deanna Britton. Janet had a strong belief in the Lord and Catholic Faith. She adored spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Janet was an avid Notre Dame fan. Friends may visit with the family on Monday, March 6th from 10 AM – 1 PM at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel 7535 Taft Street, Merrillville, Indiana with Funeral Service at 1 PM. Interment at Calumet Park Cemetery.

I am so sorry to see Janet has passed. I know it’s been a lot of years, but my dad and I were just talking about her not too long ago. She was instrumental in helping my dad run his business for many years! She also helped me to get my first job at KMart, which, believe it or not, taught me many life skills and lessons. I came to this site to see if my dad, Nick’s obituary was posted yet, because he has unfortunately passed as well on 3/11. They’re probably having a grand time up there reminiscing and catching up. May you find peace and comfort in the memories you have, as they last forever. God bless you all. <3
