James T. King, age 66, of Hobart, Indiana passed away at 4:45 A.M. Saturday, September 13, 2025 at The Waters in Hobart, Indiana. 

He was born June 6th, 1959 in Gary, Indiana, son of James and Inez (Mitchell) King. James was preceded in death by his siblings, Betty Williams, William “Billy” King, Lana (Jerry) Bevil and Danny (Connie) King. 

James is survived by his four sons, Clayton King, Chance King, Cory (Jodi) King and Dexx (Melody) King; his beloved grandchildren Makaylah, Jewel, Delainey, Caden, Addison and Rome. James leaves behind lifelong friends Dan and Hal amongst many great friends Pam, Rose, Alice and others who brought such joy to his life. Prior to his injury, James loved to golf and fish. His later years were spent with family and friends watching ball games and being present at family events. Over the years James had several dogs that were very special to him, Cyrus, Rusty, Bailey and Creed. 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 from 4-8pm with a funeral service at 7:00PM. All services will be held at Calumet Park Funeral, 370 N County Line Road, Hobart, IN 46342.  A private burial will occur at a later date for close family.
