Jacqueline Kay Reed Gomez, passed away unexpectantly on December, 29, 2024 in Valparaiso, IN at the age of 89.

Jacqueline attended and graduated from Hammond High School. After graduation, she married her high school sweetheart and became a navy wife. She worked along with her husband with the family business, Aldon Builders, for over 50 years. There were also several years where she taught Sunday School and did child evangelism in her home. Jacqueline also had a successful Shaklee business in her home for over 21 years.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband: Alfred Gomez and 1 daughter: Carrie Ann Gomez.

She is survived by her daughter: Leslie (Dan) Mellin; sons: Brian (Terri Ward) Gomez and Brad (Anita Brown) Gomez; sisters in-law: Eileen Gomez Palmer and Roberta Gomez (Chas) Bell; grandchildren: James (Judi Ewing) Crall, Troy Gomez, Daniel Crall, Kent (Sarah) Gomez, Bree (Mateo) Betti, and Logan Gomez; 4 great grandchildren: John Crall, Kenley Gomez, Emerson Gomez, and Solomon Crall. She is also leaves to cherish many loving friends & family behind and will be greatly missed.

A visitation for Jacqueline will be held on January 4, 2025 from 9:30 AM- 11:30AM with a funeral service to follow at 11:30AM. All services will be held at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel, 7535 Taft Street, Merrillville, IN 46410. Entombment services will be held at Memory Lane Memorial Gardens in Crown Point, IN. It leaves us with great sorrow that Jacqueline has left us behind, but we are happy that she is home with the Lord.
