Jack Elaine Beard was born in Chicago, IL on October 17, 1929. Jacki moved to Lake County, IN, where she spent 60 wonderful years, and then later to Mesa, AZ where she lived for 25 years. Jacki passed away on August 31, 2023 in Mesa, AZ at the age of 93. Jacki was the mother of four children: Duane Beard, Lynda (Ray) Zipko, Kenneth (Lea) Beard, and Bryan (Cindy) Beard. Jack also had 12 grandchildren: Angela, Renee, Matthew, Jordan, Peyton, Eric, Kristen, and Bryan Beard; Robin, Amanda and Nicole Zipko, and Sarah Posey; 20 great-grandchildren and three (3) great-great grandchildren. Jacki also left behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends. Jacki was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Wilbur Beard; and her brother, Samuel K. Childress.

Jacki was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend with a loving heart. She enjoyed laughing and having good times with family and friends. Her greatest love was God, her Lord and Savior. Earlier in her life, Jacki worked at Sears and was a Nanny to many families’ children.
