Ivanka Trajceski, age 59 of Portage passed away with her family by her side on April 29, 2025. Ivanka was born in Ohrid, Macedonia on November 9, 1965. She got married to her husband, Risto Trajceski, in 1991. A year later, Ivanka and Risto immigrated to the United States. Ivanka most recently worked at Southlake Mall where she went above and beyond in the housekeeping department. Ivanka enjoyed spending time with family, cooking and baking, shopping, and going to community events. She also enjoyed tending to her garden. As a homemaker, she nurtured a welcoming and comfortable home, bringing peace and fulfillment within her loved ones.

Preceded in death by her parents, Slave and Stevanka Miteski, her brother Vlado Miteski, niece Mirjana Miteska, and in-laws Simon and Ilinka Trajceski.

Survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Risto; three cherished daughters Simona, Stefani, and Daniela, precious grandson Valentin, as well as many family members back home in Macedonia. Ivanka’s family would also like to give thanks to her loving neighbors Papa Joe and Mama Ana for their loving kindness and support. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. May her memory be eternal.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 5, 2025 at 10am at S.S. Peter and Paul Macedonian Orthodox Cathedral, 9660 Broadway, Crown Point with visitation at 10am and Funeral Service starting at 11:30am. Rev Georgij Gligorov and Rev Aleksandar Mitrov officiating.
