Inocencia L. Hernandez, of Hammond, Indiana, and previously from Gary, Indiana, age 97, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2026.  She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Church in Gary, Indiana, and The Legion of Mary. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Juventino Hernandez; daughter, Myrna Hernandez; her parents, Antonio and Enriqueta Luna; 5 brothers; and 1 sister.  She is survived by her son, Mark Anthony, of Seattle, Washington, and numerous nieces and nephews in Mexico and California.

Friends may visit from 3-7 p.m. on Monday, April 13, 2026, at Rendina Funeral Home, 5100 Cleveland St., Gary, Indiana. Services will continue on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, with a viewing from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 330 E. 45th Ave., Gary, Indiana, with Father Mike Surufka officiating.  Burial at Calumet Park Cemetery to immediately follow Tuesday’s services.
