Harry Everett Adams, age 91 who resided in Merrillville, Indiana went home June 23, 2022 to be with his Lord and Savior. Harry was born on November 6, 1931, in Dixon, Kentucky to Wiley Delmer Adams and Clora White.

He is survived by two daughters Susan Whitley and spouse Phillip, Juliene Smith and spouse Chuck; grandchildren: Ryan Dyer of Carrollton, Texas; Dr. William Costakis, Jr. of Dayton, Ohio; John Costakis of Detroit, Michigan; Melissa Mercado and spouse Cesar of Las Vegas, Nevada; Tyler Whitley of Crawford, Texas; Patrick Whitley and spouse Tiffany of Hewitt, Texas; Aubree Smith and Charlie Smith III of LaPorte, Indiana; great-grandson Wyatt Whitley; siblings: Thomas Adams, James Adams, and Shirley Randle. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Barbara Jean Adams.

He worked at the US Steel plant in Gary as a foreman of the #1 BOP Shop. He enjoyed farming and gardening. He partnered with Leonard and Alma Meyer to have an agriculture farm and cattle ranch. The life-long friendship with the Meyers grew into a family by choice connection. Harry and Barbara enjoyed spending time with their church family. Harry drove the church bus for many years. He looked in on neighbors and was often found plowing their driveways during winter months. His siblings; Paul Adams, Calvin Adams, Doris Adams, Billy Adams, Donald White and Mildred Hayes preceded him in death. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 6:30PM. The funeral will begin following visitation at 6:30.
