Esther M. Parnell, of Portage, Indiana, passed away at home with her family at her side on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at the age of 76.

She is survived by her loving and devoted daughters: Kim (Brian) Wolfe and Lisa (Mirko) Momirovich; 6 treasured grandkids: Ashley, Cameron, Kaitlynn, Cassidy, Cody, and Sara; 10 adored great grandkids; and a host of extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her dear parents, Russell and Jenny Meader; and her beloved husband, Wayne, to whom she was married for many happy years.

Esther and Wayne worked to raise their family in love – which their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren felt in every smile, hug, and affectionate word she offered. She enjoyed every bit of life that she was afforded and spent may of her days playing cards, assembling puzzles, watching movies, shopping, or relaxing with a cup of coffee. She even enjoyed working, and brought joy and humor to her Walmart family as well.

Esther brought happiness into every day and her memory will be eternally precious to all who were blessed to have known her.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 6:00 PM on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at Calumet Park Hobart Portage Chapel (370 North County Line Road, Hobart, IN). Private interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Portage. For more information, call 219-940-3791.
