Donald William Terek, 76, of Merrillville, IN, passed away of natural causes on December 12, 2025.

He was born in East Chicago, IN, to Paul and Elizabeth Terek. Don is survived by his brothers, Joseph and William Terek; daughter, Laura (Corey); son Michael (Mary); grandchildren: Nathan (Sara), Michael (Amanda), and Zachary; and great grandchild, Willow. He is preceded in death by his long time partner, Nadine Jacobs.

Don attended Andrean High School and Vincennes University before becoming an electrician at U.S. Steel, where he worked for 30 plus years. Don enjoyed his time with Nadine and their long drives.

He will be remembered as a kind-hearted individual who found great joy and fulfillment in the meticulous care of his automobiles. His strong faith as a devoted Catholic provided a guiding light throughout his life, bringing comfort to himself and his loved ones.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no visitation, wake, or funeral.
