Donald A Nelson – Obituary

Donald A Nelson, age 84, passed away Sunday, January 7^th.  Donald is proceeded in death by his parents, Mary (Jean) and William, and sister Margaret Pritcherd.  He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Barbara (Stinson) Nelson, many nieces and nephews, and a loving extended family.

Donald served in the Army from 1957 to 1960.  He graduated from Indiana University in 1968 with a degree in education and taught in the Gary school system for 30 years.

Donald was a great golfer, tennis player and avid cyclist.  He grew beautiful roses and delicious apples.  He loved reading and skyping his childhood friend each week and prayed every day for his loved ones.  Donald was a good friend and a compassionate, loving husband.
