Carmen M. Lopez, age 84, formerly of East Chicago, IN passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 20, 2023.
She was born October 24, 1938, in Tampico, Mexico, where she was raised and met Humberto Lopez. They married July 3, 1957, and remained married for 52 years before her loving husband passed away on September 20, 2009.
Carmen was a loving Mother and Grandmother who enjoyed sharing her joy of cooking for her three sons. She was an active Sales Manager for Avon for several years. She will be greatly missed.
She was welcomed into eternity by her husband, Humberto, and her beloved son, Victor G. Lopez.
She is survived by her loving children, Hubert (Mary) Lopez and Alexander (Jennifer) Lopez; Grandchildren: Alexis (Christian) Stallard and Blake Lopez; great granddaughter Gabriella Stallard; and sister, Maria Luisa (Antonio) Garfias; as well as Erick Garfias, Juan (Gabriela) Garfias, Sebastian and Daniel Garfias; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
