Betty Sue Jenkins (nee Davis), 92, recently of Merrillville, passed away on August 24, 2025. She was born July 5, 1933 in Sparta, Tennessee, to Thurman and Lucy Davis. She was a resident of Park Forest, Illinois, for 42 years before she made the move to Indiana to be closer to family.

Betty dedicated 31 years of caring service as a dietitian’s assistant with Ingall’s Hospital in Harvey, Illinois. She was also a faithful member of the Family Christian Center.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving children: Sue Berry, Leesa (James) Bradford, and Douglas (Cathy) Jenkins; treasured grandchildren: Daniel and Jason Berry, Bruce and Shane Jenkins, Marybeth and James Bradford, Joshua Frye, and Jonathan Dawn; 15 amazing great grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, as well as her husband, John Jenkins; her beloved sons: Bruce W. and David Jenkins; her son in law, Donald Berry; and dear sisters: Eva Mae Wagner, Marie Armor, and Ruth Smith.

Betty was the most wonderful and devoted mother, grandmother and sister. Her family was her world and her faith was most essential in her life. She will truly be missed by all who were blessed to have known her.

Services will be Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM with visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the Family Christian Center (340 West 45^th Street, Munster, Indiana 46321). Burial to follow at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. For additional info, call 219-736-5840.
