Adeline Geraldine (Marynowski) Jerich, 95, of Crown Point and formerly of Hammond, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at St. Anthony Majestic Care Nursing Facility. She was born on October 27, 1930, in Hammond, to the late Steve and Veronica (Pasciak) Marynowski.

Adeline is survived by her sister, Sylvia Tiltges; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and beloved cat, Candace.

In addition to her parents, Adeline was preceded in death by her husband, John Jerich; brother, Walter Marynowski; and sister, Victoria Weidner.

Adeline proudly graduated from Hammond High School in the Class of 1948 and went on to receive her beautician’s license. She worked at various beauty salons in the area from 1950 to 2008, honorably retiring after 58 years of service.

Adeline was a deeply religious lady whose Catholic faith was an integral part of her daily life. Wherever she resided, she would always attend her local parish, most recently attending Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church for the last five years. Adeline’s devotion will always be remembered, cherished, and passed on through her family for generations to come.

In her spare time, Adeline enjoyed travelling in her younger years. Most importantly, she always adored spending time with her family and was devoted to staying in touch with them no matter how far away they were. Adeline proudly took care of her mother and her husband for years and always sent letters to her loved ones, which they will cherish for years to come.

Adeline will best be remembered as a kind, generous, and sweet lady whose faith lifted her up and was an amazing caretaker in times of need. She, along with all her love and joy she shared, will be deeply missed by those whose hearts she touched throughout her life.

Services for Adeline will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church – South Campus (formerly Our Lady of Consolation), 8303 Taft Street, Merrillville, IN 46410, with visitation from 8:30 AM to 10 AM and a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 AM. Burial will take place at Calumet Park Cemetery. Calumet Park Funeral Chapel of Merrillville has been entrusted with Adeline’s arrangements.
