Edith Aloha (Schmidt) Tiffany, 95, of Merrillville, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at her home surrounded by loving family. She was born on April 20, 1931, in Conrath, Wisconsin, to the late Arthur Edward and Edyth Wilhelmenia (Stumke) Schmidt. 

Edith is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Tiffany-Bricker; grandchildren, Ethan Bricker, and Danielle (A.J.) Zaradich; great-grandchildren, Alaina, Anthony, and Aria; sister, Amanda (Tom) Benton; and daughter-in-law, Cindy Tiffany. 

In addition to her parents, Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Jerrold Tiffany; children, Randy Tiffany, and Cheryl Tiffany; and sister, Florie Carnahan. 

Edith spent her life tending to her home and her family. She adored gardening, shopping (especially for jewelry), and simply spending time with her children and grandchildren. Edith will also be remembered for her yearly vacations with her family to Florida, memories that her loved ones will cherish for years to come. 

Edith will best be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She, along with all the love and joy she shared, will be dearly missed. 

In accordance with the family’s wishes, a private burial will be held at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, where Edith will be reunited with her husband and daughter. Calumet Park Funeral Chapel of Merrillville has been entrusted with arrangements.
