Paul Moravskij, 90, of Crown Point, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026, at Franciscan Health Crown Point. He was born on April 4, 1936, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, to the late Miran and Anca (Gregosanka) Moravskij. 

Paul is survived by his loving wife, Helen (Hrenek) Moravskij; children, Stefan Moravskij, and Sylvia Cervantes; grandchildren, Crystal (Matt) O’Hare, Steven Moravskij, and Meghan (Alex Bejer) Cervantes; great-granddaughter, Hailey O’Hare; and a loving host of extended family and friends. 

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his six brothers and sisters. 

Paul worked as an insulator for U.S. Steel for 14 years and went on to work as a custodian for Merrillville High School for 25 years, until his retirement. 

In his spare time, Paul enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden, playing chess alongside his son, Stefan, watching boxing matches, listening to the news over the radio, and going out to fish. Most importantly, Paul adored spending time with his grandchildren and great-granddaughter, who each brought him so much love and joy. 

Paul will best be remembered as a loving, gracious, and caring man who will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to know him. 

In accordance with the family’s wishes, private services will be held for Paul.
