Robert S. Zacky, of Lowell, Indiana, passed away peacefully with his dearest family at his side. Robert, who was lovingly known as “Bob” to most, served proudly in the U.S. Army and upon returning home, went on to dedicate himself to a long career as a millwright at Inland Steel.

He joins in blessed eternity, his mother and step-father: Helen and Carl Dombrosky, and his father, Stanley Zacky. He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 55 years: Elaine Zacky; and his cousins, Sue (Dave) Savage, Helen (David) Guzorek, and “Kitty” Fisher; and many friends and neighbors.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel (7535 Taft Street, Merrillville, Indiana 46410).
