Gregorio Uvalle, a beacon of joy, laughter, and light was born on the 10th of March 1933 in Laredo, Texas to Gregorio and Catalina De La Rosa. He married and shared his life’s dance with Lucia Uvalle , his beloved partner whom he married in 1957. After settling in Gary, Indiana , with a heart full of passion, Gregorio embarked on a fulfilling career at Inland Steel, where he worked tirelessly as a Hooker 😊 until he retired in 1991. The devoted couple found solace in Holy Rosary Church, where he was a member of the choir and proudly represented The Guadalupanos. Together they welcomed 5 children into their loving home , nurturing them with values of love, equality, compassion, gardening, dancing, and the thrill of traveling.
Gregorio will forever be remembered as a gentle, patient, kind-hearted father and devoted husband. He was known for radiating warmth and happiness through his playful nature and side-splitting humor embodying kindness, generosity , compassion, and a remarkable dance talent that inspired all around him. He will be deeply missed.
