Lakisha was born May 20, 1969, to Yvonne Marie Stewart in Chicago, Illinois. She attended Englewood High School, and then Everest College, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in business.
She later moved to Indiana, where she would meet Siddious Harris Sr. The two would eventually marry and move to Georgia, where Lakisha would work in her field of business.
Lakisha eventually returned to Indiana, where she would spend her time working with mentally challenged adults. She faithfully attended Mount Pisiga Church in Chicago when she was able.
Lakisha leaves behind too many to mourn her—her beloved mother Yvonne; her sister Sheresse and brother, Eric. She also leaves all of the bonus children in her life that she cherished and helped to raise, including Shyree, Siddious Jr., her nieces: Jada, Sanii, Annette, and Felisha; nephews: Tyree, Sheresse, Traeon, and Deonta; a host of cousins, great nephews and nieces, and extended family; and many more who will continue on loving her and keeping her memory aflame.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Siddious Sr., Tyree, Cherisse Shyree, Jada, Deonta and Traeon, and Lakisha’s aunts Bonnie and Beverly, and uncle Richard for all of their unconditional support and help.
