Luigi Biancardi, 81, of Lowell, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Cedar Creek Healthcare Center. He was born on July 5, 1944, in Avella, Italy, to the late Antonio and Stefanina (DeGennaro) Biancardi. On September 12, 1964, Luigi married the love of his life, Myrna Garcia.
Luigi is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Myrna Biancardi; children, Fred (Kimberly) Biancardi, Luigi (Heather) Biancardi Jr., and Stephanie (Randall) Cutright; grandchildren, Jeremy (Alyssa) Biancardi, Joshua Pepin, Michael Pepin, Lindsay (Christopher) Rahill, Whitney (Matthew) Martin, Mitchell (Madeline) Biancardi, and Lillian Biancardi; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Fred (Patricia) Biancardi, Carmen Biancardi, and Maria DiAvanzo; and sister-in-law, Antonietta Biancardi.
In addition to his parents, Luigi was preceded in death by siblings, Mario Biancardi, Dominic Biancardi, and Anna Pullen; and siblings-in-law, Nancy Biancardi, Frank DiAvanzo, and Fred Pullen.
Luigi was a proud business owner for over 55 years and was a lifelong devoted and faithful Catholic. He adored spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was a devoted husband and father for Myrna and their three children.
Luigi will best be remembered as a dedicated, hardworking, and charismatic man who was liked by all. He strived to always provide the very best for his family and will be deeply missed.
In accordance with the family’s wishes, private services will be held for Luigi. Calumet Park Funeral Chapel of Merrillville has been entrusted with his arrangements.
