Bonnie Lee Sitaras passed away peacefully at home with her husband at her side on Sunday, February 15, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, faith, and devotion.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Gustavo Sitaras; her loving sons, Nicholas (Dana) Sitaras and Jason (Jesse) Sitaras; her treasured grandchildren: Taylor, Sophia, Alex, and Athena, for whom she loved wholeheartedly. She is also survived by her dear sister and brother, Sandra Wright and Steve Wright; along with extended family and friends.
Bonnie was a God-fearing woman whose faith guided her life daily. She loved her family deeply and unconditionally. She enjoyed travelling and shopping, and found serenity in birdwatching, walking along the beach, taking in the sunset, or reading.
Intelligent, funny, caring, and giving, Bonnie brought joy and warmth wherever she went. She was a loving, supportive, and devoted wife who cherished her husband, and the most wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and aunt that anyone could ask for.
Bonnie had an incredibly beautiful insight and spirit that touched everyone she met. Her presence filled rooms with laughter and comfort. She was deeply loved, and she will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known her.
Services were held privately for the family at Ss. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Merrillville, followed by interment Calumet Park Cemetery.
