Dimitar N. Georgievski “Jimmy G”, age 83 passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side. Also known as Dimce was born on August 25, 1942 to parents Nikola and Mara. He immigrated to America in April 1963 on a boat from Paris with his mother Mara. Dimce was a devoted, retired employee of Inland Steel Company with 43 years of dedicated service. He started as a manual laborer and worked his way up to a Cal Line Operator at the #3 Cold Strip East.

He was a true handyman in every sense of the word. No matter what was broken, worn out or falling apart, he always found a way to fix it. With patience, creativity, and determination, he could repair just about anything. To him, nothing was ever beyond saving, and neither was anyone who needed his help. His life’s work was defined by generosity, humility and an unwavering commitment to improving the lives of others. He was an avid Chicago Bears Fan. He never met a stranger he didn’t like.
Dimce is survived by his loving wife Rosa; daughter Persa (Darin) Clark; granddaughter Amanda (Van) Ristovski; two grandsons Steven Petrovski and Preston Clark; cherished great granddaughter Alexis Ristovski; brother Steve (Vera) Georgiefski; sister in law Mary Georgiefski; sister in law Milica Georgiefski; and many other nieces, nephews and relatives.
