Devon Raymond Johnson
Devon Johnson, age 21, unexpectedly passed away on Friday, January 9, 2026.
Devon is survived by his loving parents, Vince Johnson and Marquita Dillon; twin brother Devin; adoring grandparents, Joyce Taylor, Theodore and Marcia Brown, and Vince E Johnson Sr.; many aunts, uncles, cousins, family, friends and his four-legged boy Rocko, who will all dearly miss him.
Devon is preceded in death by his grandfather, Larry Dillon; great-grandfather, Jimmy Dale Woods, and great-grandmother, Hattie Johnson and his dog Fendi.
Devon was a loving and caring person that always wore his heart on his sleeve. He was very passionate about mostly everything in life. His friends thought of him as a motivational pillar. He loved fishing and dogs. He was a very nice and kind young man who was loved by all. Devon attended Merrillville High School and worked for Door Dash full time. “Just Gone too Soon”
Friends may meet with family on Wednesday, January 21st, 2026from 3-7PM with a service starting at 4PM at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel, 7535 Taft Street, Merrillville, IN

Dear Marquita,
I hope this message finds you surrounded by love and strength. I want to express my deepest condolences for the heartbreaking loss of your son, my dear nephew. Words cannot fully convey the sorrow I feel for you and your family during this incredibly difficult time.
