REMEMBERING

Patricia Ann Dvorscak

Patricia Dvorscak, age 83, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones. To many, she was far more than a mom or grandmother—she was a second mother, a lifelong caregiver, a fierce supporter, and the unofficial glue holding everyone together.

Patricia graduated from Roosevelt High School and spent many years working as a nurse aide. Caring for others came naturally to her, and she did it with grit, compassion, and a no-nonsense work ethic. She was selfless, strong-willed, and always busy—usually taking care of someone else while multitasking three other things.

She had a long list of hobbies and took them all seriously. Patricia loved shopping and thrifting, had a bold passion for interior design (and strong opinions to match), and was a superior landscaper who kept her yard—in check. She enjoyed scrapbooking, writing children’s stories for her grandchildren, and assigning “projects” to her husband, James, who rarely got a day off.

She was a devoted fan at grandchildren’s sporting events and school activities, rarely missing a moment. A proud coffee addict, skilled poker player, and self-proclaimed professional gambler, Patricia always kept things interesting. At home, you could usually find her watching murder mystery shows or game shows—talking through the plot, guessing the ending, and keeping everyone entertained.

Patricia was goofy, loud, talkative, loving, and endlessly hardworking. She loved deeply and showed it in action—by showing up, pitching in, and making sure everyone was taken care of.

She was married for 64 years to her beloved husband, James Dvorscak, who preceded her in death. Together, they built a life filled with family, laughter, and a whole lot of stories.

Patricia is survived by her two children , Jim (Katie) Dvorscak and Julie Koch, seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren—each one a testament to the legacy of love, strength, and humor she leaves behind.

She will be deeply missed, often laughed about, and forever remembered.
