Charles “Chuck” Gregory Harris, 67, of Merrillville, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Methodist Hospital – Southlake Campus. He was born on February 10, 1958, in Hammond to the late John and Evelyn (Marince) Baron. On October 29, 1988, in Highland, Chuck married the love of his life, Paula Earnhart. 

Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Paula Harris, and son, Josh (Jess) Harris. 

In his earlier years, Chuck enjoyed going fishing, working on muscle cars, watching NASCAR, cheering on his beloved Notre Dame football team or Chicago Cubs baseball team, or listening to Jimmy Buffet classics. He was devout in his Catholic faith and will be remembered as a friend to all whom he met throughout his life. 

In accordance with the family’s wishes, cremation has been chosen. Services for Chuck will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel, 7535 Taft Street, Merrillville, IN 46410, with a gathering of family and friends from 2 PM to 6 PM.
